We are in a major crisis right now. Oil supplies are running out. The air is becoming fouled with more and more carbon dioxide. And demand is soaring. Time for action is now. Here are some links to sites that are informative and/or helpful on the subject of Energy conservation and production. It is hoped that we all can do something to try and conserve energy. And working together, produce our own using renewable sources. Note: Since I first put up this page a few years back, there has been much more done, from wind farms to giant Solar-thermal plants, to biofuels. Here in Iowa, many Ethanol and Biodiesel plants are being built. Progress that is encouraging!
Although I still see so very many large SUV's with one person in them, and think to myself "why oh why do we not cut back on our wasteful petroleum usage." I still see US automakers trumpeting the pleasures of big gas-guzzlers. Meanwhile, we are spending Billions and Trillions to maintain US troops in the Middle East. Time for us Baby-Boomers to assert our economic clout as well as Earth-centered philosophy and Think Small, Drive smaller, Use less in every way. The oil companies can't gouge us if we don't use thier products.
